Quasar was the first hybrid rocket engine developed by CUSF. Quasar went through multiple iterations and provided a sound knowledge base for future, much larger, flight-weight engines.

Pulsar is the most powerful nitrous fuelled rocket engine ever fired in Britain. The engine was designed and built over a period of 18 months culminating with a fully successful firing at Airborne Engineering.
